Bullseye for my friend Cheryl Gillan this afternoon.
We were descending the stairs leading from the tearoom when we encountered a well-known, left-leaning political journalist.
“How are you, darling?” Cheryl enquired.
“In agony,” groaned the journo. “My knees are playing up.”
“Too much genuflecting to Gordon,” Cheryl sweetly replied.

I am sure it is a subject close to her heart!
Lets be quite honest, is the journalist any different to the majority of Members towards their own leader?
How many have the balls to say what they think?
We all know the real reason is, that they fear for any potential front bench position would very much be in jeopardy.
There are very few Members who once in do not have to sing their party tune, it is so sad, but true.
As for Cheryl, well I have my own opinion, I would rather see a more Welsh front bench on Welsh affairs led by you and a couple of juniors, not least Mr Crabb.
Dream on eh?
Is that my local Councillor Dave from Rhos or another?
