Welcoming the Fed

I was delighted to welcome a delegation of North Wales Police Federation members to Parliament this afternoon. Five coachloads of police officers had travelled from North Wales to lobby parliamentarians over the government’s betrayal on police pay.

Over 22,000 serving officers marched past the House – a most impressive sight that will have dismayed Jacqui Smith. At last, Labour seem to have kept their promise to put more police on the streets.

Not in North Wales. There may well be more employed Police ooficers, but I can assure you they are not out and about.
Why don't you get some figures together and compare the transport cost in 2006 compared to 1996 for example?
We would have a suprise.
They won't refuse you the information, that's for sure.
The all but have company cars the amount they have.

Give our officers what they are worth and stop messing about with Special Priority Payments (bonuses by any other description)

Nothing is so divisive as the Chief Officers getting bonuses when the Inspectors are having theirs removed.

You should not reward police officers for doing their job by bonuses just pay them what they are worth.

Also we should pay the Chief officers what they are worth! and no bunuses.
